Aimsun BDM
==========

This is the home of Aimsun-BDM data source.

Aimsun is a microscopic traffic simulator developed and marketed by
TSS Inc. from Barcelona. See http://www.aimsun.com/ for details.

The purpose of this data source is to run a simulated urban traffic
experiment in Aimsun and provide back to BDM measurements and statistics
mimicking those of real measurement devices. Hence, the data source
specifies the Aimsun scenario to run and the traffic demands on the inputs
to the simulated network. As soon as the simulation starts, Aimsun
provides back detector measurements and a set of statistics (including,
for example, delays, queue lengths, or average speeds) which form the
data provided by this data source.

The current versions of the underlying libraries support Aimsun 4.2.x.
group. Newer Aimsun versions (Aimsun NG 5.x and 6.x) are not supported
as we do not own the license to these versions of the simulator.
